I am so excited to share with you a very special treat from our friends Tucker, Henry & Suzy:
Hello friends!
It seems like such a long time since we met you at Hampton Community Library last summer! The dogs and I were thinking about all the fun we had visiting with you.
Tucker also loved his trip to New York City and asked if I would share some of the fun with you. It was almost 7 years ago, so Henry wasn’t even born yet!
We drove up in August so the weather was just perfect! Tucker got to stay in a hotel! He loved it, except when he had to stay in the room by himself. Luckily, we went to many places that allowed dogs, including restaurants with outdoor dining, many stores (they loved Tucker!), and his favorite, Central Park!
We spent hours walking through Central Park! It’s huge! Would you believe the park has many playgrounds, a lake where you can race toy boats, an amusement park (that turns into a skating rink in the wintertime!), cool statues and fountains, a concert amphitheater, and, would you believe, a zoo?
Tucker enjoyed walking in the park every day. If we were out before 9 AM, Tucker didn’t even have to have a leash! He was a good boy and always stayed with his mom. We visited the lake and walked many paths. Tucker really liked the statues of some of his favorite characters!
Here are photos with Tucker and his very favorite statues! Tucker posed with Balto, a Siberian husky dog who led a team of dogs to deliver medicine to sick children in Alaska! Balto led his team through a blizzard in the dark for over 600 miles! Thanks to Balto, his musher, and the fellow dogs, many children were saved from their illness! Yay Balto!
Tucker’s other favorite statue is Hans Christian Andersen, who wrote children’s books , including The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling, and The Emperor’s New Clothes.The statue features the ugly duckling, who turned into a beautiful swan.
Tucker had a wonderful time on his trip and is hoping to visit New York City again with his nephew, Henry. We hope you are all doing well and we hope to see you again soon.
