Statement from Hampton Community Library Regarding COVID-19
During this time of uncertainty regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), the Hampton Community Center and Hampton Community Library were closed Friday, March 13, 2020, at 5:00 pm. until further notice.
Decisions of this nature are not taken lightly. We understand this will be an inconvenience to our patrons and ask for patience and understanding as we join the Township in being proactive to keep our community safe.
As many of you already know, schools and libraries in Pennsylvania are closed. As things change, we will try to keep you updated via our website and social media.
While we are closed, fines will be waived and many items will auto-renew. Due dates are now being extended on all items, regardless. While you may access our book drop at any time to return items, for your safety, and the safety of our staff, we ask that you keep your items until this self-quarantine is over.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to check out new items to you. Please check your account and consider putting new holds on your items awaiting pickup or use the wishlist feature to create a future list of items you would like to place on hold. Please consider placing a freeze on current holds for popular items.
We encourage you to take advantage of the library’s many eBooks, digital magazines, downloadable audiobooks and other digital resources::
-
All digital library resources are available through eLibrary: https://elibrary.einetwork.net/
-
Download free eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines through the Libby app from Overdrive: https://libbyapp.com/
-
Download free movies, TV shows, audiobooks, comics, and music albums through the Hoopla app: https://www.hoopladigital.com/
This is a very rapidly-evolving situation. Please monitor our website and social media channels for updates.
We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to continuing to serve you.
