Bread & butter, marmalade & jam
Let's say Hello as loud as we can!
This week we are welcome Spring:)
In this storytime video, we focus on the concept of growing. Mia Posada's book Dandelions, Stars in the Grass is a wonderful nonfiction story that incorporates rhyming verse. Then, see if you can spot the funny ways each of the animals write their names in Leo the Late Bloomer by Robert Kraus.
I've gathered some resources for you to explore including our special friend, Bea Conte's Spanish Storytime. Find out what it's like aboard the International Space Station, while astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor reads A Moon of My Own by Jennifer Rustgi.
If you are in the mood to make somethig, here's a little dandelion puppet you can make on your own. You will need: a paper cup, a popsicle stick, a piece of colored paper & 1 inch of tape.
Before the flowers, April showers often bring mud! Check out this cool soil scientist who makes paintings out of dirt, or make your own rain stick like this one from NASA Planet Kid's Watch the soothing sounds of a Didgeridoo or mix up some sick beats with the Chrome Music Lab.
Well friends, remember, everyone & everything is growing all the time! Share what growing things you have noticed in the comments or on our Facebook page.
