Hi Friends!
Let's talk about cardboard:
Some of you might remember the cardboard couch in the children's reading area at the library. There are lots of ways to make cardboard furniture, but we decided to just glue lots & lots & lots & lots...of layers of cardboard rectangles together to make a solid structure.
Lots of artists use the materials they have at hand. Pittsburgh native, Tarish Pipkins makes these incredible puppets from cardboard & other materials. Look around your home, what kinds of things do you have that can be transformed into your next awesome project?
The Hampton Community Library is committed to prioritize the health & safety of our patrons & community. We are completely closed for all in-person & curbside services until January 4th, 2021. You can read the full statement, here.
Happily, patrons continue to have 24/7 access the full digital collection of magazines, audiobooks, databases & more! We have a FAQ page & tutorials on the website about how to sign up for a library card, explore the digital collection & find ways to connect over the next few weeks. Stay connected with programs & upcoming initiatives by following us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/HamptonCL.
Stay safe, stay hopeful dear friends & remember that All Things Must Pass...
